One of Klang Valley’s most prominent Montessori pre-schools The children’s house has just opened in Cyberjaya.
Cyberjaya is not only Malaysia’s premiere tech city, but is already becoming one of the most liveable cities in Malaysia. As there are more and more people living in Cyberjaya, there’s now a need for the residents to send their children to a proper pre-school such as The children’s house.
Brief History of The children’s house
The children’s house was founded in 1986 by Nan Civel, the first educator to introduce the complete Montessori Method of early childhood education in Malaysia. Nan was inspired by a visionary Italian doctor, Dr. Maria Montessori, which led her to embark on a three-year course of study and work programme in the Maria Montessori Training Organisation in England, in 1983. She also gained many hours of teaching experience in three different Montessori schools in London upon completion of her Diploma in Montessori Education. [via expatgomalaysia]
There are currently nine such schools around the Klang Valley and the branch in Cyberjaya would be the latest addition. It’s located at the top most floor of Shaftsbury Square with its own independent block. It’s very hard to miss it.
This weekend (January 2nd and 3rd), they are having a Discovery Day which is very much like Open Day in universities. The school is open from 10am to 2pm.
Parents who are looking into sending their kids should find time to check out this newly opened pre-school.
