MEX Seri Kembangan Interchange will Open this Sunday December 13

The Seri Kembangan Interchange on the KM16.5 of Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Highway (MEX) will be opened beginning this Sunday December 13.

There will be a trial period without toll for a month and the actual toll rate will be decided by the Ministry of Works (JKR) later.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the project costed RM112 million and was fully borne by the operator Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd while RM20 million land was spent on acquisition of the land by the government.

The interchange, which provides entrance from Jalan Putra Permai allows users to go to Putrajaya through MEX. This will help many people who are living inside Seri Kembangan to get faster access to Kuala Lumpur and reduces severe traffic congestion around that area.

For Cyberjaya folks, this means they can go to Seri Kembangan via this interchange instead of the 16 Sierra exit on LDP which is always congested during peak hours.

It was initially scheduled to be opened by November 30th but the date was pushed back probably for additional safety checks.

Please come back to check for the toll rate once it’s been decided by JKR.

There should be another toll to somehow give a computerised transaction on the smart tag for those vehicles coming from seri kembangan going towards cyberjaya- which should reduce the toll when going out at cyberjaya exit. Not fair now- the vehicles from the entry point of KL-seremban plus highway & Pantai highway(near desa water park) – are also paying the same toll at cyberjaya exit.

    • agree, doesn’t make sense to pay RM3.50 to exit Sri Kembangan coming from Putrajaya/Cyberjaya as well, probably they’re working on it

  2. Please come back to check for the toll rate once it’s been decided by JKR

    Time for an update no?
