A new co-working space for startups and entrepreneurs was just launched today in Cyberjaya to become another catalyst for Smart City innovation.
Cyberjaya which is now known as the Capital of Creation, has just launched a new work space for startups and entrepreneurs.
The space is located on Level 2 of Cyberview building in Cyberjaya, just next to the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) campus.
It is known as CoInnov8 (pronounced Co-Innovate) and some of the startups to be based there are Otomate Me and CurrenSeek.
In addition, Cyberview will also run its Living Lab Accelerator Program with the focus on Fintech and Smart City solution. It will provide startups with the necessary exposure, guidance, and resources through a collaboration with Finnext Capital.
The space has multiple long desks, a pantry, a rest area with pool table, small meeting rooms, a game station and bean bags thrown around for entrepreneurs to chill and relax. There’s also a lounge. WiFi is free and it’s possible that the space is opened for 24 hours.
How much does it cost to rent at Cyberview’s CoInnov8 you might ask? It’s priced from RM15/day.
Startups will also be given access to Cyberjaya Innovation Council (CIC) , a body led by Cyberview and comprises Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd, and Sepang Municipal Council.
I was invited to be part of the launch and took the opportunity to take some photos as shown below:
This is truly another great effort by Cyberview and all other stakeholders for this innovative city to drive more innovation and further develop the startup ecosystem in Malaysia.
