The second IKEA store in Malaysia which is scheduled to be opened on November 19th, is only 20 minutes drive from Cyberjaya.
Folks in the Klang Valley will soon rejoice because everyone’s favourite furniture store is set to open a new branch in Jalan Cochrane in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
IKEA announced the official opening of the new store on November 19th on their website today.
Those who frequently drive on Maju Expressway (MEX) will notice the big structure just next to the highway not too far from the Kg Pandan Roundabout.
The good news is that it will take roughly around 20 minutes to get to the new IKEA from Cyberjaya via MEX. This is almost 40% faster compared to getting to the one at Mutiara Damansara. Getting to Pavilion is slightly more than that.

Since it’s still not yet opened, we can’t be sure how the traffic situation is going to be at the new store, considering that it’s already very crowded there.
Come November 19th, we will be able to tell accurately of how long it would take to get there based on normal traffic.
This is a solid proof that Cyberjaya is not as far as others would think.
