The Malaysian Budget 2016 announced by PM will boost infrastructure projects in Cyberjaya.
Residents and investors in Cyberjaya are delighted with the budget speech by Malaysian PM Najib Razak today as billions of Ringgit will be pumped into Cyberjaya for major construction projects for the city.
Firstly, it has been confirmed that Cyberjaya will finally have its own hospital. This is one of the 5 new hospitals to be built in addition to Pasir Gudang, Kemaman, Pendang and Maran.
The new Cyberjaya City Centre (CCC) will be implemented in stages for a period of five years. This will cost up to RM11 billion. I’ll be updating the progress of CCC in this website. You can refer to the first update here.
Efficient public transportation will be one of the key growth indicators for Cyberjaya therefore the MRT II project from Sungai Buloh – Serdang – Cyberjaya – Putrajaya has been approved by the government.

The total length of the MRT line will be around 52 km and will cost about RM28 billion. This line will service up to 2 million people. Construction of MRT II will begin in the second quarter of 2016 and is expected to be completed by 2022.
It has been revealed earlier this year that the transit will service two MRT stations (S34 and S35) in Cyberjaya before terminating at Putrajaya Sentral. One station could be built right in the heart of CCC. You can watch a short presentation of the new MRT project and Cyberjaya’s stations are shown as well.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) in Cyberjaya is also getting RM35 million to make it as a leading Regional Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub, which includes RM10 million as initial allocation for the Corporate Entrepreneurs Responsibility (CER) Fund.
Within the next 5 years, we can expect more robust growth for Cyberjaya with all of these projects coming into place.
