Due to increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia over the last few weeks, more and more people are looking for clinics in Cyberjaya to do swab test.

There are various types of tests and each one has different pricing and result time.

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test

PCR tests are used to directly detect the presence of an antigen, rather than the presence of the body’s immune response, or antibodies. By detecting viral RNA, which will be present in the body before antibodies form or symptoms of the disease are present, the tests can tell whether or not someone has the virus very early on.

Antigen

A rapid antigen test, or rapid test, is a rapid diagnostic test suitable for point-of-care testing that directly detects the presence or absence of an antigen.

Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)

rRT-PCR test is used for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in upper and lower respiratory specimens.
